Our providers will perform an accurate examination and allergy skin test to identify the specific trees, grasses, and weed pollens that cause seasonal allergic rhinitis. Allergy skin testing can also identify causes of year round symptoms, or perennial allergic rhinitis. The most common causes of perennial allergies are dust mites, dog and cat dander, and mold spores.
After the cause of the allergy symptoms are identified, avoidance measures, oral antihistamines and topical nasal spray medications may be recommended to reduce symptoms.
